How to Understand This Mommy Who's Ideas Were Close to Miracles?

What is a mom capable of? What made them have babies? Who decided to make them get pregnant and not us?

Do you hear me guys? Hey Franky! Come on! Why are you looking the other way? Here! put that cigarette down and listen to this one:

One morning this mother called Laura woke up 'legally blonde' and almost single. She just got hold of an e-mail from hubby: "I'm tired of living with you, and not getting anywhere...I'm leaving with your best friend: Lilian. I don't want to hit you anymore, so is better leave it like this. Just get your lawyer, and I don't care... I will sign the papers..."

How To Prevent a Suicide

Suicides are on a rise these days. One often wonders that how deep-set must be the state of depression and helplessness that leads a person to take his/her life.

This is a serious issue, and we will try to make our best to give a resourceful advice.

By the numbers. Every 40 seconds a person takes his life around the world. This is an staggering number that completely surpasses the death caused by war and homicides altogether. There is no doubt whatsoever that our young generations are taking life in their own hands literally. Sad enough social services are not really taking heed to reduce the rate of suicides in our own Country.

Shortage of subsides in health care and cuts in Insurance payoffs have diminished preventive measurements against this delicate issue.

Coping with suicidal thoughts

These are general live savers that can apply for the person you care about
1.Make them feel that they are not alone. 1 in 6 will go through this
2. They are not weak, flaw or going simply crazy. explain to them that sharing the pain will help them to spread the load of guiltiness
3.Hope is out there and we've got to be in contact with them continuously

First Aid for Kids-- When Emergency is crucial

Your kids and yourself can begin to study safety manuals from the Red Cross available at the Internet. In our own case, The basic text we’re using is a Community First Aid & Safety manual from the American Red Cross that I picked up for free. We won’t be reading over each and every word in the text we’re using; instead I’ll be summarizing a lot of the material to make it applicable to your kids and their abilities.

Suggested Activities and Resources.
■Make a home first aid kit. Have your kids help you collect all the supplies to put a home first aid kit together. (Please note that the use of syrup of ipecac is no longer recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics). Here are some of the items you might consider including in your kit:

1)bandages
2)gauze squares
3)adhesive tape
4)thermometer
5)ice pack
6)hydrogen peroxide
7)rubbing alcohol
8)cotton balls
9)scissors
10)soap
11)tweezers
12)cotton balls
13)disposable gloves
14)elastic bandage
15)paper cups
16)calamine lotion
17)activated charcoal
18)first aid information (such as a reference card)

**Obtain a good first aid guide from the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association. You can probably find used copies of these at a large used book store like Half-Price Books. Use the guide as your “curriculum.”

**Check out your local library for some good books on first aid and safety. The youth nonfiction section will likely have several good books about safety and first aid written at a child’s level. Although not an exhaustive list, here are some subjects that would be good to look up and study with your kids:

■fire safety
■bike safety
■water safety
■stranger safety
■gun safety
■first aid, especially with regard to the following emergencies:■Head injuries
■Broken bones
■Burns
■Bleeding
■Choking
■Lack of breathing/heart attacks

■Have your kids attend a first aid class. Check with your local community center, hospital, or school to find out where such classes might be offered.
■Utilize the internetfor some free safety and first aid information. Here are some sites with good information you might like to check out:

My Kid Blocked The Darn Facebook On Me!

Nowadays, our kids have a world of their own, and we don't blame them. They have dealt with the changing times, added to bullying, divorced and harassment of all type--55% married couples won't last those 15 years or more. Your Vinyl records or cassettes from 'Sony and Cher' will remind them that you are already an outcast for them. Or perhaps they were denied that brand new car that they saw on the reality show,"My sweet sixteen." They even created a new language that would keep you away from their own circle. LMAO! So you are in trouble, hearing from New Ipads to the coolest apps, that sadly you don't even know what they are for...!

FROM MESSENGER TO FACEBOOK

Back in the middle 90's Hotmail, AOL, and even AIM, were the fad. Kids would open accounts left and right using mostly a name and the numbers of their birthday. Some shyer would choose the puppy's name and some odd number, in order confront availability. But, since Mark Zuckerberg made fun of this 'girl' and exposed her on his new TheFacebook, Kids took the banner on their own, and unfortunately wherever Kasey went, Shannon did. Then the trend took off, and everybody started to open accounts. Didn't matter if they were 11 years old. They would beat the system and with no problem would certainly open or logged in in 10 minutes. "If my older sister has one, why not me??" Said 12 years old Ricky.

But, lately they have created their own circles, and even realize that 'adding you' was a mistake 'contra natura .' Why? They wanted to fit in, and be capable to upload pictures that you wouldn't approve of. So the Nerdy 'kiddo' of the group...You suck!, taught them how to block your account...and war was inmediatly declared. So, a friend of mine asked me how can she battle against it, and probably save them from a potential psycho, pedophile or a relationship that you didn't approve from the beginning?

WHAT IS THIS WORLD COMING TO..?

This is the story of Jenny, a typical 24 year old graduate from Lehigh University in Bethlehem Pennsylvania. The regular girl next door. A cheerleader in her prime...

She shared her experiences with me and told me how hard was to commit with a guy nowadays. She graduated with a PhD in Economics and has a decent job in Manhattan. Her parents gave her the best education she could ever wished. Well, that's what we thought!

The thing was, she was the only child her the family, and missed the company of a brother or a sister. Her Halloween nights were boring and on Christmas always had to visit her uncles and her cousins... But she was always missing something.

Here is the story: She dated 4 guys in six months and broke up as soon as they wanted to have sex or were getting too pushy or even violent in the relationship.

"These guys today, all they want is to get in your pants and treat you like garbage and move on. What's wrong with these guys?" she said.

I asked her why 4 guys in six months? "I have a decent job making 68 grand a year. My apartment in Jersey city is half way paid off and... I think is time to get settle with 'Mister right', don't you think so?"

I told her that unfortunately quality of men has gone down the drain and what they really want is a "quick fix"

Our Young Generations -- Lost in Translation

We've just turned another century and we are still here, alive and kicking. The purpose of this hub is give a variety, or a wider range of advice for the parent and general public that participates in the painstaking process of raising a young kid. Maybe we can go a little back in time and then bounce back with a better focusing in our writing.

How was a kid in the times of Noah?

A kid in those times would depend on his parents for every single move. Just to go to get water from a fountain or a well, would mean to get a blessing from his father, or the Chief of the tribe or the Clan. Respect was shown, and respect was received. A parent was the next thing to a biblical Character, for those kids. No TV, no 'texting' to get them out of the way. If lucky they got an education to read the Bible, if not, just join the adoration day -- no Churches and Calendars yet.

Kids around Civil War time.

When civil war broke in the earliest 1860's, Industrial revolution was about to take off. Krupp Cannons and its industry were already around 200 years old. Kids would just have access to odd dolls and war related games. A parent would go away for years and a mother would wait...sometimes in vain.

Why is Math So Hard?

A LITTLE OF HISTORY

As far back as we know, math was an evolving tool that was needed for counting and then commerce. The first math problem was with no doubt in how to share a fire between two or three groups of cavemen. The second handy approach to that tool were our fingers. Can you imagine this four or five families in a cave being away from Mammoths and T-Rex's. When night fell, they needed to make sure all their off springs were inside too. So, ten fingers were available, until the clan grew in quantity. What was next? Their toes fingernails? heck no! The smell of it was an absolute deterrent. You might wonder what, or how accounting was born? Was later on when 'Habibi', a Phoenician seafarer, wanted to keep track of his jars of wine and sheep's skin. Otherwise he could've been held 'accountable' by his concubine 'Sarah'

FAST FORWARDING 85,000 YEARS

Chaldean-Assyrians founded Ur, 4,500 years before Christ. According to our records, it was the first new citadel with a population of 100 thousand inhabitants. Astronomy was already set in its ways and math was in the early stages of Algebraic equations, but who made this math so popular? First were the traders known as Phoenicians, who Invented commerce as is known.
